Brixton
One of south the capital’s most iconic neighbourhoods, Brixton is a buzzing London suburb with a lively social scene. A busy town centre features a mix of independent stores and high-street favourites, while the culinary scene has everything from West Indian delights to South American haunts. Local travel is also some of the best on offer in South London, with Brixton tube station offering a stop on the Victoria Line that reaches Oxford Circus in around 10 minutes.
Islington
Charming architecture in and around Islington blends effortlessly with the vibrant Upper Street, where there are bars, restaurants and boutiques aplenty. Don’t forget to visit the market along Chapel Street, which is open every day, or see the latest music acts at one of the many music venues in the area. Highbury & Islington and Angel stations provide excellent travel links to the rest of the capital.
Bethnal Green
If you’re looking for bohemian vibes and tech-types creating the next software revolution, Bethnal Green is the place to be. Expect to find artisan coffee shops, local pubs and cafes galore, which are all steeped in quintessential East London charm. Bethnal Green tube station is on the Central Line and will soon have a stop on the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail).
Dalston
Dalston’s trendy north-east London community is sought after by many creatives, thanks to its artistic surroundings. A stroll along Kingsland Road displays the neighbourhood’s creativity in full effect with its independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland both provide locals with convenient travel options.
King's Cross
King’s Cross is an international hub right in the heart of central London. On the one hand, you’re just moments away from the alternative and rock-inspired Camden Town; on the other, King’s Cross St Pancras offers direct lines to France, Belgium and Holland. Oh, and you’re just a stone’s throw away from the bright lights of the West end too!
