Homes to Rent in Edgware, North London
A small village until the 1920s, Edgware is now a sprawling neighbourhood popular with families and professionals alike. Edgware is close enough to London to enjoy all it has to offer. It is bordered by the Hertfordshire green belt to the north and has its own distinctly safe, secure and suburban character. Edgware is nine-and-a-half miles north/north west from the centre of London but is still served by all of the City amenities you’d expect – the Underground, night bus services and Uber. Whilst by no means a retail centre of the City, Edgware does have its own high street and there’s plenty of conveniences in the vicinity to suit renters and residents.
Flats & Apartments to Rent in Edgware
The majority of Edgware’s homes aren’t flats but there are apartments to rent in the area. Toward the town centre, you’ll find some low- and medium-rise apartment blocks, and there are a variety of nice duplex options situated above commercial units.
Houses to Rent in Edgware
Quite unusually for London, most of the houses to rent in Edgware are semi- and detached homes with spacious rooms and plenty of garden space, most with their own driveways for parking (car ownership here is more than one car per home – very high for the capital). Residential streets include homes from one bedroom up to five or six bedrooms.
Edgware Transport & Amenities
Edgware feels very suburban but is extremely well-linked to the rest of the capital city, as it’s still part of it! Edgware station is the terminus for the Northern Line, so commuters can enjoy a quick nap on their journey home. The bus station serves TfL and non-TfL routes, as well as school services and three scheduled night buses. For amenities, Edgware’s renters enjoy several supermarkets, plenty of restaurants and cafes, and their own shopping centre in the town – but, of course, the Oxford Street shopping experience is only a train-ride away.
