Ilford has lots of high streets and its own shopping mall, the Exchange Ilford. For anything you can’t find here, take a ride to Westfield Stratford on the TfL Rail, arriving in just over ten minutes. On a rail note, the town centre is served by Ilford rail station, which sits on the Great Eastern Mainline, and TfL Rail is in Zone 4. There are several tube stations in the Ilford suburbs, all on the Central line: Redbridge, Gants Hill, Barkingside, Newbury Hill and Fairlop. There are plenty of bus routes in and out of the town centre, as well as further afield toward the Essex coast.
